Why study on a Bachelor First Year?
If you’re not quite sure of your future study path, the first year of a broad-based Bachelor programme is the perfect choice to give you time to figure out which direction you want to take. This first year introduces you to the fundamentals of management, marketing, finance, and strategy, giving you the opportunity to explore different areas before specialising in a particular domain. At the end of this year (60 ECTS credits), you can join Year 2 of the programme of your choice, with a much clearer picture of your interests and career aspirations.
An overview of Excelia’s Bachelor First Year
This first year is common to all of Excelia’s Bachelor programmes and its Master in Management programme. It offers a broad-based education in management, marketing, tourism, and digital communication, allowing students to explore different sectors, with the possibility of acquiring valuable international experience. Once this year has been validated, you can apply for Year 2 of a multitude of Excelia programmes. This flexibility allows you to customise your academic path to suit your career goals.

Once you have validated the 60 ECTS credits on the Bachelor First Year, you can enter Year 2 of the Excelia programme of your choice, giving you great flexibility in personalising your academic pathway.

Bachelor First Year Overseas
A host of experiences to choose from with Excelia’s Bachelor First Year!
Embark on a year of exciting experiences with the Bachelor First Year in France, on either our La Rochelle or Paris campus. The programme is centred on dynamic pedagogy, with projects, case studies, company visits and Tech Weeks. You can validate 60 ECTS whilst also carrying out an internship and an environmental project that focusses on sustainable development, the circular economy or environmental protection. In La Rochelle, the lessons are in French, and in Paris you will study in English.
If you’re looking for an even more international experience, then opt for the Bachelor First Year Overseas and join one of our partner universities in Australia, Canada or Ireland. For 6 to 7 months, you can immerse yourself in the fundamentals of international management and administration as you complete your first year of higher education. Study in Melbourne, Toronto, Vancouver or Dublin and experience an enriching adventure that will broaden your horizons and boost your career prospects.

Multiservice charge
1 year Fee: €250
6 month Fee: €125
This one-off Multiservice fee gives access to the following services: Multimedia and Internet network, Cyberlibris (online library), Student Identity Card, Reprographics credit, Intranet, e-learning modules, Wi-Fi, Career Centre activities and services, International Insurance-Assistance (for any periods spent abroad during the period covered by this contract), University library, University Medical Service etc.
