La Rochelle Education Group pursues its international development strategy and further strengthens its appeal for Chinese students by offering new support services.
Supporting Chinese students looking to study in France
La Rochelle Education Group is experiencing a new phase in its international development* in China, with the signing of an agreement with the Beijing campus of the Alliance of Paris (ALIP – Alliance Linguistique Interculturelle de Paris). Since 1st June 2018, Fang Lin, La Rochelle Education Group’s local representative, has moved into ALIP’s premises, located right in the heart of Beijing’s Chaoyang business district.
This partnership and this new office will enable La Rochelle Education Group to reinforce and personalise its support services for Chinese applicants who go to ALIP to learn French and wish to continue their education in La Rochelle, which is an extremely appealing place for them to study in.

China, a priority in the Group's international development strategy
This new partnership is a further addition to the many existing actions developed for Chinese applicants: a website in Mandarin, a WeChat group and a brochure available in Chinese.
As part of La Rochelle Education Group's internationalisation strategy, China remains a priority. Today, the Group boasts some 3,500 students: 800 are international, with over 100 being Chinese. The Group boasts four permanent teachers with Chinese nationality, one of whom is specifically responsible for welcoming and supporting their younger fellow citizens. In addition, each year, master classes are given by a dozen Chinese visiting professors.
Teachers, administrative staff, members of the International Students’ Office... everything has been put into place to support our Chinese students and help them to settle into their new life. Right from week one, a welcome service gives them the opportunity to discover their new environment, to become familiar with their new home and to have the answers to any practical questions they may have.
A specialised course designed to improve language ability, acquire management fundamentals… and join one of the Group's programmes
The Business Foundation Programme is a unique course available to all foreign students, giving them the opportunity to improve their language ability in English and/or French, and to learn the fundamentals of business and management before starting a higher education programme at one of the Group’s Schools.
Chinese students are particularly attracted by the business, finance and luxury marketing programmes, as well as Excelia Tourism School, the only school in France to have been awarded TedQual certification by the World Tourism Organization, a specialised agency of the United Nations.
During their programme, students are required to learn three foreign languages, to undertake internships of 3 to 6 months, and even to spend 6 months in a university abroad. All these opportunities greatly enrich their study experience and constitute a veritable asset when students enter the job market in either France or abroad.
Vocational integration is one of La Rochelle Education Group’s priorities, alongside the multitude of personal and professional experiences on offer to students. Humanitarian projects, consultancy projects and business games are at the heart of the pedagogical model, ensuring a very high employability rate for the Group’s graduates. Many of our Chinese students succeed in securing a job before they even graduate, a fact which is cited on the official qualification recognition list of the Chinese Ministry of Education.
