Biography
Originally from Greece, Dr Athanase Plastiras is an Associate Professor in the Finance Department of Excelia Business School since 2021. He holds a PhD in Management Sciences specialized in financial strategy obtained at the IAE of Caen Basse-Normandie in 2008.
He teaches accounting, management control and risk management to students at the Bachelor and Master levels and gives lectures in French and English. His research interests include auditor behavior, fraud phenomena and audit quality.
He has worked for many years in Greece as a consultant in financial analysis and as an evaluator of investment projects for the Hellenic Ministry of Industry (IQS Ltd.). Since 2015 he is a certified Associate CPA at CPA International in the UK (Auditor).
Dr. Athanase Plastiras publishes regularly in peer-reviewed journals and participates in conferences related to his research topics. He is a member of the French Finance Association (AFFI), ADERSE, the Chamber of Economists of Greece, the Hellenic Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education as a reviewer (ΑΔΙΠ) and is a reviewer for several refereed journals. -
