Biography
Marine L’Hostis holds a doctorate in geography from the University of Angers. In 2020, she defended a thesis entitled “The diffusion of Chinese tourism in France – Influence of representations and spatial capital”, which analyzes the processes through which Chinese tourists choose new destinations as they further explore the French territory beyond the capital. In addition to the spatial dimension of diffusion, her research also focuses on its social dimension, by studying how the Chinese society develops tourist practices, both from an individual and collective point of view
After teaching at the ESTHUA faculty (University of Angers), Marine L'Hostis joined Excelia in 2023, as research active faculty. She also contributes to coordinate and foster the research in tourism within the school.
