“Putting an international spin on everything Excelia does and working with the best to do things even better!”. The vision of Karim Ben Slimane, the group’s Associate Dean of International Strategy, is clear: a 360° international approach!
Increasing our international dimension
Programmes, internships, corporate relations, innovation, research, and teaching... Excelia is committed to stepping up internationalisation in all areas. The aim is to develop initiatives that go beyond conventional student exchanges and academic partnerships, by offering more double qualifications and welcoming more international Visiting Professors. This strategy will further strengthen the group’s global network and enhance the quality of its programmes.
Triple accreditation and high-quality partnerships
Excelia’s triple accreditation, which aligns it with the best universities and schools in the world, has enabled it to establish high-quality partnerships, with 180 accredited partners.
This important recognition means that students enjoy first-rate programmes and highly qualified teaching teams, whilst forging valuable links with international companies. Excelia continually strives to improve internship opportunities and the vocational integration of its students, as well as to affirm its commitment to economic, social and environmental issues.
Always looking further and aiming higher
Excelia continues to develop its existing relationships and partnerships whilst establishing new ones. Ambitious partnerships with HEC Montréal (Canada) and the University of Kozminski (Poland) are currently being finalised with a view to offering students yet more double qualification opportunities. In addition, four new international Professors have been recruited, all of whom hold doctorates from world-renowned universities.
Visibility and research projects
Our enhanced presence in leading international research circles improves our visibility and encourages high-profile research projects, whilst opening the door to European and international funding. Themes such as CSR, sustainability, ecological impact, and water management resonate both locally and globally, positioning Excelia as a respected and influential player.
An international hub
Acting as a veritable ‘hub’ connecting academic communities, students, companies, public bodies and local authorities, Excelia is raising the profile of our local ecosystem on an international scale, benefitting our students and partners around the world. So, in this vein, we assure a very warm welcome to our international students who can sign up to our Buddy Programme*, whereby local students assist and mentor international students on a voluntary basis... before they arrive, upon their arrival, and once they are on site!
Above all, being international is all about people connecting and working together!
International experiences
Excelia integrates a range of international experiences into its study programmes, enabling students to undertake academic expatriation, for a semester or a year, at one of its 210 partner universities.
Such opportunities enable students to improve their linguistic proficiency, to develop intercultural awareness and to improve their adaptability and mobility skills.
International experiences can take the form of…
- double qualifications
- multi-campus study programmes
- international internships
- civic and solidarity projects
These initiatives are designed to boost students’ employability, broaden their horizons, and encourage their open-mindedness.
Double qualifications offer a unique opportunity to not only obtain 2 qualifications from prestigious establishments, but also to benefit from the resources and network of both institutions.
Multi-campus programmes enable students to spend part of their studies in several countries, thereby enhancing their academic and cultural experience.
International internships are another key feature of Excelia’s international learning offer, enabling students to immerse themselves in diverse professional environments, apply their theoretical knowledge in real-life contexts, and develop intercultural skills that are indispensable in today’s increasingly interconnected and global world. These placements are often the springboard to international careers and contribute significantly to the vocational integration of Excelia’s graduates.
Last but not least, civic and solidarity projects add a human and social dimension to students’ international experience. By taking part in projects that involve community support, humanitarian aid, relief or development, Excelia students contribute their expertise whilst learning to work in a variety of conditions that are often difficult, thereby strengthening their resilience and sense of social responsibility.
* The aim of Excelia’s Buddy Programme initiative is to pair up local students with international students, helping them to settle in, offering personalised assistance, and creating a welcoming and supportive community within the school.
