A forum for discussion on mission-driven companies
Excelia’s Institute for Sustainability through Innovation (IRSI) recently hosted a captivating round-table discussion on the highly topical subject of ‘Mission-driven companies: an overview on a local level’. This event was an important opportunity for discussion and debate on the issues and challenges, the impact, and best practices of mission-driven companies, a model that is being increasingly adopted by companies that are conscious of their social impact.
The round table was attended by leading figures in the field, including Thierry BOURGEOIS from LÉA NATURE, Sylvain HERMANGE from MAIF, Fanny ROMESTANT from GROUPE Y NEXIA, and Kelly TINCHON, a specialist in organisational transformation. Each contributor brought their own unique expertise and experiences to the table, sharing valuable insights into how companies can incorporate societal and environmental objectives within their core strategy and operations.
The ensuing discussions showcased the successes and challenges of mission-driven companies, providing important perspectives on current and future trends. Participants explored a range of themes, from engineering and sustainable industrial performance to responsible project management, CSR leadership and facilitating organisational transformation.
Co-development workshop: towards effective implementation
The round table was followed by a co-development workshop, expertly led by Cécile EZVAN, Director of IRSI, and Isabelle BAUDET and Philippe SCHÄFER, both Professors at Excelia. This workshop, entitled ‘Implementing a mission: levers, obstacles and benefits’, enabled participants to delve deeper into tangible strategies for adopting and making a successful transition to a mission-based company model. It was an opportunity for participants to share their experiences, to discuss current challenges and to envisage innovative solutions together.
