The decisions taken over recent weeks have made it possible to ensure a continuity of service and to innovate with an offer that is 100% remote. For Thierry Andrieu, Head of Corporate Partnerships and Continuing Education, it is now a question of continuing this work and making it sustainable.
Excelia managed to successfully respond to this major challenge. Are you pleased?
I am very proud of the commitment shown by all the teams and stakeholders. Developing distance learning and getting it up and running within such a short timeframe is an amazing feat, that once again demonstrates Excelia's incredible agility. The situation as concerns continuing education, and that of apprenticeships remains very difficult as businesses have other preoccupations, particularly those in the field of tourism, although several interesting measures have been put in place by the Government.
Measures such as "FNE-Formation"?
With the onset of the COVID-19 virus, the FNE-Formation (national employment fund) scheme was extended. It enables employees who are working reduced hours to benefit from training courses that are in line with the needs of companies. The training courses are carried out remotely, the costs are fully covered, up to €1,500 per beneficiary, and the administrative formalities have been simplified. A tripartite agreement is signed between the company, which is the contracting party, the Direction regional agency and the training organisation.
How does Excelia Executive Education fit into this scheme?
We have developed 24 remote modules on four transversal themes: commerce, management, personal development and communications. The training sessions, involving 4 to 8 people, are short (from half a day to two days maximum) and run "live" by a trainer, and this enhanced offer is a guarantee of quality for the participants. We have also marketed a Tourism offer to meet the needs of a sector that is essential to the region, with a training course specifically dedicated to managing this crisis: reception, post-COVID customer relations, and digital communications to promote the region.
With this offer be available long-term?
Our first priority is to be as close to the needs of the companies to which we provide precise solutions, without ignoring individual ambitions. Our goal is to move closer and closer towards the "executive" sector by offering modules from MiM, Bachelor and MSc programmes as continuing education courses. The distance learning offer is an ideal response to this need and will fit in perfectly with our existing offer. The reforming of professional training, measures such as CPF (personal training account), VAE (validation of acquired experience) and FNE, as well as the promotion of our offer by the CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) will further strengthen this positioning.
