Learning through
gaming

Excelia has developed a special centre dedicated to teaching through experience, the Excelia Lab©. It is a space for reflexion and creation, incorporating Game Lab© that offers teaching in which the students are the principal actors. The Logistics Information Systems course, led by Salomée Ruel, is a new example of how it’s put into practice.

Objective: Using gaming to get students involved in the subject being taught.

DAs part of the Logistics Information Systems course, led by Associate Professor Salomée Ruel, students in Year 3 of the Master in Management, specialising in purchasing and logistics, have become actors in their learning by working in groups to invent fun methods to familiarise themselves with 20 technical concepts.

Through photo stories, board games and the creation of fun videos in the style of the TV programme ‘C’est pas sorcier!’ (It's not rocket science!), the class has become the stage for many educational innovations.
