Excelia provides you with the opportunity of acquiring valuable international experience through academic expatriation.
Adding an international dimension to your professional project
Academic expatriation in one of our 210 partner universities (the majority of which are accredited) will offer you a different perspective of the world. Lasting from 6 months to an entire academic year, this experience, in an environment that is academically, linguistically and culturally different, is an integral part of our programmes and indeed compulsory for the award of certain degrees.
Your time spent studying abroad will enable you to validate either one semester (30 ECTS points or equivalent) or an entire academic year (60 ECTS points or equivalent). In addition, at certain partner universities, you can obtain a double degree, giving your CV a truly international dimension.
International experience… making the difference
Through this experience, you will improve your knowledge, enrich your personality and ensure your professional project takes on an international dimension thus enhancing your employability on a global level.
A wide choice of host universities
Depending upon the opportunities available and the precise conditions of each programme, you can choose the destinations that interest you. Your final choice will be based on elements such as your foreign language ability, your personal and professional project, the cultural appeal of the country and even perhaps the possibility of a double degree. The International Relations Coordinators for your programme will assist you in your choice and recommend destinations pertinent to your profile.

Erasmus+
The Erasmus mobility grant is a lump sum, awarded by the European Union, intended to contribute towards any extra expenses arising from studying abroad, such as transport and subsistence costs. It is awarded to students who study in a country that is a member of the Erasmus+ programme. This grant can be combined with other means-tested grants awarded in France, as well as the Erasmus+ Etudes grant awarded by the New Aquitaine region (or your home region).
If you decide to study in a European country, you must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for an Erasmus grant.
Exchange duration and ECTS Credits
As a student of Excelia, you will spend at least 3 months studying at a European higher education establishment. This period of study will be recognised as part of your programme at Excelia, subject to passing the exams, and taken into account for your French qualification. This is done through the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which allows any credits obtained, as part of your Erasmus+ programme, to be validated.
How much is the grant?
The amount is determined by the European Commission. The Erasmus+ grant for the current academic year will vary according to the destination country.
To be able to take part in the Erasmus+ exchange programme, you must be enrolled and registered at one of the partner institutions that have signed an agreement with Excelia.
Please note that, subject to certain conditions, this grant can be awarded several times, up to a maximum of 12 months per degree cycle (Bachelor or Master).
