Joanna, student Masters of Science (MSc) Achat Supply Chain
I have just finished the first of my two years of the Master of Science (MSc) Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, which I’m carrying out on a work-study track. In terms of the course itself, I feel fortunate to have had teachers from Quebec who were working as part of a partnership between Excelia and a Canadian university.
Their teaching, was very different from our usual lessons. On the company side of things, for the entire length of my studies I will be working in the Export Department of Léa Nature, one of the largest private employers in Charente-Maritime. I’m very much involved in the operational aspects of the business, to the point of not always having the time to dedicate to analysis. Fortunately, my mentor, who is on hand to support me, sometimes helps me to put things into perspective.
I particularly value the option of the work-study track as it enables me to put theory into practice, as well as boosting my confidence for my future job search. In addition to obtaining my qualification, which should certainly make a difference to my employability, I am confident that this work experience will help me a lot when I enter the job market.
