Choosing Excelia
I found out about Excelia thanks to 2 friends who were already in the School (one on the Bachelor in Business and the other on the Master in Management).
During my entrance tests in La Rochelle, I talked to the Student Induction Team (CIA - Comité d'Intégration des Admissibles) about my plans to come to the School. The friendly atmosphere and the links forged with this team were very important in my final choice.
And when I think back to my first day here, it is always the kindness of both the students and admin teams that comes back to me.
Today I am very committed and involved in the School, especially as I head up the LR Boutique (creation of clothes with Group branding). This is clear evidence of the affection I have for the School, in which I didn't expect to find so many different Clubs and Associations.
The learning aspect
Thanks to Excelia, I learned how to manage a team, to prioritise and to work in a group... skills I wouldn’t have learned if I had decided to do a post-High School preparatory class.
I really liked the public speaking modules. The teacher managed to capture the attention of us all.
I also had to meet many new challenges including finding a Humacité© project (which was quite complicated) and making numerous oral presentations to my entire class (including my Cap Anglophone project). And of course, living experiences!
Outside of Excelia
I run my Association and have to deal with any problems that arise. I also make the most of the city of La Rochelle, both by day and by night because it is a very pleasant place to live and a perfect-sized city.
In 10 years’ time, the most lasting memories will undoubtedly be my humanitarian project, my involvement in the CIA (which I had the chance to do twice, once as Entertainment Manager and a second time as a Coach) and of course the Clubs and Associations.
