Biography
Having specialised in the sciences at High School, Sophie Ferré left High School to join a preparatory class for the Grandes Ecoles (major business schools). She was accepted on the Master in Management programme at Excelia Business School, from which she graduated in 1992.
She began her career with one of the leading French retailers, Carrefour Group, where she stayed for 4 years, initially as manager of the Produce Department, then as Project Manager for the implementation of an optical scanner system, and finally as Manager of management software for the Hypermarket located in Angoulins. It was during this first experience that Sophie Ferré became interested in training, education and pedagogical engineering, as she was responsible for training all the personnel in these new tools.
Before returning to Excelia Business School, in 1999, this time as a Lecturer and Director of Studies for the ‘Sup Ge Co’ programme, she worked for several years in a training centre, teaching post-High School students and professionals. In particular, she was responsible for the training programmes for all the Heads of Department of the retailer Système U.
At Excelia Business School, Sophie Ferré has spent more than 15 years working for the Master in Management programme as Pedagogical Manager for students in Years 1, 2 and 3, whilst continuing to teach Marketing. Since 2019, she has been Director of Academic Studies for the Bachelor in Business programme.
Coming from a bicultural family, she loves to discover new cultures and regularly travels within Europe, particularly to Germany and the UK. She has always been a keen swimmer, having taken part in many competitions.
