Biography
Claire Lecard graduated in Engineering from EPSI Bordeaux in 1987 after attending a scientific preparatory class. She began her career as a Project Manager and then as Head of Information Systems at Bordeaux City Council.
She joined the world of education two years later, training adults undertaking lifelong learning at Cipecma in Châtelaillon-Plage, where she taught information systems and office automation for some 6 years. Claire Lecard then became a Mathematics and Information Systems teacher for post-High School education, then took on the role of Student Coordinator for those studying for a vocational baccalaureate, before becoming a Tutor at the Faculty of Science and Technology in La Rochelle.
In 1995, she joined Excelia Business School as a Lecturer in Computer Science and Office Automation. In 2000, Claire Lecard joined the Bachelor in Business programme, being responsible for Year 1 students. Since 2012, she has been Head of Experiential and Personal Development for the programme, and continues to teach, whether it be lessons in IT, Understanding the Employment Market or Self-Awareness, thereby supporting students in defining their personal and professional project.
Highly conscious of the need for mutual aid (she is a volunteer for Restos du Cœur soup kitchen), environmental protection and management of student-generated waste, Claire Lecard has set up numerous initiatives to ensure Bachelor in Business students have a good understanding of these issues and are aware of their responsibilities. Since 2017, the Bachelor in Business students have been taking part in World Clean Up Day.
