-
Friday 24th November 2023
Following the success of the 2nd Edition, which took place on 1st April 2022, Excelia is organising another research day dedicated to Supply Chain and Innovation. The 2nd Edition focussed on the challenges for innovation in the supply chains of the future. This event was an opportunity to compare the practices of supply chain professionals with academic research questions (contribution of innovation to value creation in logistics chains, innovative interplay between different links in the chain, etc.).
The 3rd Edition will focus on the theme of sustainable innovation as a driver for the supply chains of the future.
This topic will address the challenges facing supply chains in the following areas (list non-exhaustive):
- Environmental and Geopolitical Challenges: How is sustainable innovation achieved in the context of supply chains? How can we integrate the demands of sustainable logistics?
- Strategic, Technical and Technological Challenges: What is the role of digital technology in sustainable supply chains? What sustainable digital innovations should be integrated into the organisation of supply chains? How can the risks be controlled? How can we assess the performance of the logistics systems implemented? Which processes? For which industries? And for which types of companies, i.e. B2B or B2C?
- Human Challenges: What new skills and competencies are needed to respond to the transformation of sustainable innovation in logistics chains? What resources should be pooled?
