Vassivière - Plateau de Millevaches: Along the Creuse river, the Painters' Valley offers remarkable scenery, and was a source of inspiration for some of the greatest artists, from the end of the 19th century to the 1920s.

Vineyards: In New Aquitaine, it’s impossible to separate wine from gastronomy. Set off on the wine route, from vineyards to châteaux, enjoying the different tastes on offer.
Cheeses: Follow the cheese routes of New Aquitaine. Whilst Poitou is the home of Goat's cheese, the Pyrenees is home to Ossau-Iraty, a renowned sheep’s milk cheese.
Dordogne valley: Truffles, cep mushrooms, walnuts and foie gras are some of the unmissable delights.
Cognac: Since the 19th century, eau-de-vie has become renowned the world over, and is used in numerous cocktails.
Taste of the Ocean: Marennes oysters, Bouchot mussels… enjoy the region’s abundance of shellfish and seafood.
Cannelé: With its attractive caramel colour, and sweet vanilla and rum fragrance, the cannelé is the emblematic little fluted cake of the city of Bordeaux.

The Dune du Pilat: Climb up the Dune du Pilat and then paraglide back to base… a totally thrilling experience!
Marais Poitevin: Take a boat trip through Venise Verte, the region’s very own ‘Green Venice’
Mountains: Ski in the Pyrénées and hike in the Massif Central.
Ocean: Head off to Les Landes for a weekend of surfing.
Cycling: In New Aquitaine, it’s the ‘national sport’, with some 6989 km of cycle paths and routes planned by 2030. Already today, you can enjoy some 3 997 km of dedicated routes.
