On 11th February, 31 teams from La Rochelle Education Group took to the road, heading for Marrakesh for the 3rd Edition of the Bab El Raid, a sports rally with a solidarity angle, co-organised by the Maïenga agency and La Rochelle Education Group. This year, more than 1500 date palms were planted in Merzouga and many toys and clothes were brought by the 204 adventurers.
The 10 days of adventure included cruel stages across France, Spain and Morocco and at the closing party, first prize was awarded to : Team 247 as winners of the Student category… and : Team 119 as winners of the Adventurers category.
At the award ceremony, the teams were welcomed at the HEEC business and engineering school in Marrakesh to the sound of ‘gnaouas’ (traditional Moroccan musicians), in the presence of the organisers and partners: Dominique Serra, Director of Maïenga, Bab el Raid organisers, congratulated the teams on their investment and their achievements. Bruno Neil, Director of La Rochelle Education Group and Mly Ahmed Lamrani, President of HEEC Marrakesh, also addressed the adventurers. Stéphane Ducreau, CEO of Koni France, who took part in the adventure, spoke about his "wonderful days spent in the desert". Véronique Coeffet also joined one of the teams!
Congratulations to all and a big thank you to the 31 teams (out of the 102 teams registered) who proudly wore the La Rochelle Education Group colours !
