Jérôme Piriou receives
the AFMAT Award

Jérôme Piriou, a research-active faculty member in marketing at Excelia Business School, received the 2019 AFMAT Award (Association Francophone en Management du Tourisme - French-speaking tourism management association) for the best pedagogical case in tourism management ‘Léman* sans frontière – A Franco-Swiss marketing collaboration to develop a cross-border tourism destination’.
This work was based on his thesis subject as well as through his close links with the Léman sans frontière association.

For the past several years, Excelia has used case studies in its teaching of business and management.

  • For our research-active faculty, cases are an opportunity to enhance their courses with real examples.
  • For companies, cases give them the opportunity to re-examine some of their strategic decisions and, at the very least, to share good practice.
  • For students, cases are the opportunity to learn through discussion and, ultimately, will improve their employability.
