Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, La Rochelle has been a dynamic port city since the Middle Ages. Even today, it has preserved the vestiges of an impressive Maritime history making the old town and the historic port so delightful!
The three imposing towers, Tour Saint Nicolas, Tour de la Chaîne and Tour de la Lanterne, along with the Grosse Horloge, the impressive clock tower, are all emblematic monuments of La Rochelle’s heritage. Wandering the narrow streets of the city centre, you can admire the 18th Century mansion houses, timber-framed buildings, the arcades and a host of quaint squares.

Nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tours is referred to as ‘little Paris’. As a former Royal city, it is home to many architectural treasures, emblematic of French heritage.
