Created in 2011 and organised by the sports events agency Maïenga, Cap Fémina is a 100% female solo rally in Morocco, open to all women.
Christelle Egreteau (Head of Student Life - Excelia La Rochelle) and Sophie Delor (Corporate Relations Manager - Excelia La Rochelle) are taking part in the 2018 edition which takes place from 3rd-14th October. Cape Fémina gives its participants an unforgettable opportunity to meet the inhabitants of the desert. This adventure in Morocco comprises 6 stages over dirt tracks and dunes, with participants using a roadbook and a compass.
The schedule:
- 3rd October 2018: Technical, medical and administrative checks, briefing and departure from Villeneuve-lès-Avignon
- 3rd and 4th October 2018: Travelling across Spain
- 5th October 2018: Boat crossing, arrival in Morocco, then by road to Meknes
- 6th-12th October 2018: 6 stages in Morocco, 1 day dedicated to Solidarity Action
- 13th October 2018: Award ceremony, dinner and gala evening in Marrakech
- 14th October 2018: Participants make their way back to France
The rally encompasses two solidarity actions benefitting children:
- In France: baby equipment will be presented to the association ‘Restos Bébés du Cœur’
- In Africa: participants will repaint a school in southern Morocco
