Keep calm and choose the Bachelor First Year!
Over one or two semesters, the Bachelor First Year gives you the opportunity to explore a variety of disciplines including management, communications, tourism, digital technology, and modern languages, giving you a solid foundation in business. The Bachelor First Year ensures that you do not lose a year as you will earn ECTS credits, enabling you to go straight into Year 2 of a Bachelor programme.
Excelia offers two study tracks for the Bachelor First Year:
- Option 1 Classic Track (2 semesters) – October start date in La Rochelle, in French only
- Option 2 Fast Track (1 semester) – February start date in La Rochelle or Paris; this intensive one-semester course is available in French on our campus in La Rochelle or in English on our Paris campus

I opted for the Bachelor First Year as it meant I didn’t have to wait 12 months to start my studies. In February, I joined Excelia to follow this 6-month foundation course and was then able to go straight into Year 2 of the Bachelor programme of my choice.
The Bachelor First Year also gave me the opportunity to mix with students from all over the world with different cultural backgrounds.
